You would be hard pressed to find a more versatile composer/singer-songwriter in Australia today. Mark Andrew Hansen’s breadth and variety of music is astonishing from wistful Solo Piano to Children’s Songs, Orchestral pieces, Pop, Folk, New Age, Rock, Jazz and more. Mark can compose in any style and he couples that with brilliant piano improvisation skills, clever guitar work, and an emotionally honest voice. From an early age he won AMEB and Eisteddfod music awards and in recent years his music reached the finals of the USA Songwriting Competition and was 2nd in the Australian National Songwriting Competition. He is also an awarded teacher and writer on many important topics to do with music and society. Mark abhors violence, bigotry and social injustice and has embarked upon some new multi-media projects to raise awareness of positive solutions to these problems.
